Assarain Foods began in a small way, and is now the single largest division within the Group. As a distributor of FMCG products and frozen food, Assarain Foods brings some of the most well-known brands to Oman. |
||
|

||
|
These include ‘Doux’ from France, ‘Frangusol’ from Brazil, ‘Danpo’ from Denmark in poultry products, ‘Richmond’ - New Zealand, ‘Towers Thompson’ and ‘Allegro’ from Australia for choice beef and meat, french fries and potato specialities from McCain (Canada, USA and Holland), ‘President’ dairy products from France, frozen vegetables from Belgium such as Dat-Schaub, BFG and Frogel... the list goes on. |

Starting with frozen foods, the company went on to include dry foods. The division now has a state-of-the-art cold store with a capacity of 800 metric tonnes for frozen products and 200 metric tonnes for dry products. A palletized storing system and the use of forklifts ensure high standards of hygiene. The entire process is machine-operated, resulting in fast, efficient rotation of products, and ensuring that customers are assured of fresh goods at all times. |

Assarain’s fleet of reefer trucks, lorries and vans travels across Oman, servicing wholesale and retail outlets throughout the country. Their continuously expanding customer base includes several government organisations, catering companies, 5-star hotels and restaurants. The Division also caters to most of the leading companies, department stores and supermarkets. Through a tie-up with Al Haq, the sister concern representing their interests in the southern region of Dhofar, the entire range of products is brought to the customer’s doorstep in Salalah. |

With a reputation for quality products and responsive service, Assarain Foods now plans to venture into areas like sea food and speciality products, thereby diversifying the scope of its activities. |
